Cross-Ties 2 November 2011

Our Western Montana AA Choir Festival, Cross-Ties 2, was held in November. Our gracious host was Flathead High School. Our fabulous guest director was Dr. Geoffrey Boers from the University of Washington in Tacoma. The students really enjoyed singing for Dr. Boers. We all learned so much from this dynamic conductor. After two days of rehearsal, the Cross Town Choirs combined for a wonderful concert - an event our community looks forward to every year. All-Northwest 2012

In the Northwest Division of ACDA (American Choral Directors Association), which covers six states, there are tens of thousands of eligible singers in ACDA member choirs. Out of all of those singers, six Glacier students have been selected to represent our choir, town, state and our division as six of the very best. Congratulations to Jordan Bridwell, Damaris Gemmer, Liz Graham, Kendrick Lee, Cassidy Madison and Kelsey Nostrum!

Fall Concert - Kaleidoscope Voices 2011

The Glacier High School Choirs will present "Kaleidoscope Voices" Thursday, October 13 at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the Glacier High School Performance Hall. The kaleidoscope of choirs will present a kaleidoscope of music. Song selections will range from the beautiful "Flying Free" (Glacier Girls) to "Dust in the Wind" (Glacier Men) to "Great Gettin' Up Mornin'"(Advanced Women) to "Kaleidoscope Heart" (Glacier Breeze) to "Operator" (Glacier Echoes) to "Amor de mi alma" (Concert Choir.) There will definitely be something for everyone at this concert. Hope to see you there!

Glacier Jazz Stampede 2011

NEW! More photos here: Jazz Stampede 2011 The Glacier Echoes along with Whitefish High School's Voce Primo and Columbia Falls High School's Sonifers have formed a gospel choir that will perform as part of the Glacier Jazz Stampede. They will perform Sunday, October 9 at 11:00 am at the Red Lion Hotel in the Kalispell Center Mall. Also performing with the gospel choir is the amazing Blues Street Jazz Band from California and Louisiana. They are fantastic!
