Glacier Choir present "Seasons of Love" May 21, 2019

The Glacier High School Choral Department will present "Seasons of Love" Tuesday, May 21 at 4:00 pm and again
at 7:00 pm. The concert is free of charge and will be held in the Glacier High School Performance Hall. The
Glacier Choirs are under the direction of Sandee Lee (Sauer) and will be accompanied by Debby Gardner.

The concert will open with nearly 200 voices performing Toto's "Africa." The Glacier Girls will perform "Build Me Up,
Buttercup" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The Men's Choir will sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" before the
Advanced Women sing the Beatles "Let It Be." Glacier Breeze and Glacier Gust will combine to perform the
Billy Joel hit "The Longest Time" and the Glacier Echoes will cover songs from the Pentatonix and "La La Land."
The Glacier Concert Choir will sing Queen's "Somebody to Love" and the Concert Choir seniors will close the
evening with "Seasons of Love" from Broadway's 'Rent.'

Guest musicians include Kerraline Bemis, Nic Hannay, Cade Nahrgang, Emma Rashleigh, Chandra Reinhard,
Ashlyn Sliter and Trevor Woodward.

Individual choral students will be recognized for their performances at district and state music festivals, as well
as their lettering achievements. The Director's Award and the National School Choral Award will be presented
to four outstanding seniors.

From the Glacier High School Art Department, several Visual Arts Distinction students will present their
senior shows before and after both choir concerts. The Glacier High School Culinary Arts Department will
provide light refreshments.

Concert Choir Tour 2019

The Concert Choir had a fantastic trip to Seattle.  Highlights include a Mariner's baseball game, the musical Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, the musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a side-by-side rehearsal at Eastern Washington University, an Improv Theatre production, singing at the base of the Space Needle and the comedian Jim Gaffigan.  Thank you to our fabulous chaperones Debby and Joey Gardner, Jenn and Daren Rediger, Phil and Katherine Gironda and Danette Inabnit. And a wonderful time was had by all!
